Ticketing and Access Control System for Yamal Arena

Infomatika equipped the new Yamal Arena sports complex in Salekhard with the LENTA ticketing and access control system and the LENTA-EZS electronic locking system. The solution brought together ticket sales, access control, and individual storage locker management.

On September 12, 2026, Yamal Arena, the largest sports complex in the Russian Arctic, officially opened in Salekhard. The ceremony was attended by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The opening featured Ilya Averbukh’s ice show “Together and Forever.”

Covering more than 30,000 m², the complex includes a main ice arena with seating for 2,800 spectators, a training ice rink, a 50-meter swimming pool with 500 spectator seats, a multipurpose sports hall, and other sports facilities. It is designed for daily training sessions, competitions, concerts, and public events.

To support the complex’s varied visitor activities, Infomatika implemented a unified ticketing and access control infrastructure based on LENTA. The system automates ticket sales and access control using tickets and membership passes. Visitors can purchase tickets at the venue’s box offices and through its own online store. Integration with external ticket agents supports additional sales channels.

The arena’s entrances are equipped with Vector Plus and Concept Plus smart turnstiles, supporting access using contactless cards, barcodes, and QR codes. Vector Gate and Concept Gate smart gates provide convenient access for visitors with reduced mobility. Mobile terminals allow staff to set up additional ticket checkpoints during peak periods and assist spectators.

Another component of the project was the LENTA-EZS system, which manages the electronic locks on 504 individual storage lockers. Integration with the ticketing and access control system allows a membership pass or ticket to serve as a locker key, eliminating the need for additional cards, wristbands, or other credentials. Staff can remotely manage the locks and monitor locker use.
