Meridian Gateway

Meridian Gateway

Infomatika presents a new model of the Meridian smart Gateway turnstile for facilities with high security requirements.

Meridian smart gateway turnstile is a high-tech unidirectional turnstile with two pairs of high hinged doors and a two-stage identification system (document + biometrics).

It is intended for use at facilities where strict identification is required: airports, customs offices, critical infrastructure facilities, and restricted access areas.Untitled_7.png

Main Features:

  • Two-stage identification system: passport data scanning and biometric verification, which allows for accurate identification.

  • Versatility: Three aisle widths (600, 900 and 1200 mm) make the device versatile for different operating conditions.

  • Reliability: the AISI 304 stainless steel and tempered glass case guarantees durability and resistance to external influences.

Working principle:

     1.  Input
The visitor enters the gateway, and the doors automatically close. The sensor system checks that there is only one person in the gateway.

     2.  Passport scanning + biometrics
A request appears on the screen to attach your passport to the scanner. After scanning, the system asks you to pick up your passport and look at the camera for biometric comparison. If the passport does not match the visitor's biometrics or is on the prohibition lists, the system informs security. In case of incorrect scanning (for example, if the document is attached crookedly or the wrong pages), a prompt appears on the screen. If the error is not corrected within 10 seconds, the identification process is interrupted and the doors return to the open state.

     3. Final identification
If all the checks are completed successfully, the second gate doors open and an exit prompt appears on the display.

    4. Return to standby status
After the visitor passes through, the second doors close and the first ones open. The system is ready for the next check.

Standard equipment includes:

  • Passport scanner.

  • Biometric facial recognition terminal.

Additional options are also available — an iris scanner and a fingerprint scanner, which allows for multi-factor identification to increase security.
