Smart Turnstiles for the Moscow Transport Unified Dispatch Center
Infomatika has completed the installation of M2030 smart turnstiles with biometric identification at the entrance to the second building of the Moscow Transport Unified Dispatch Center.
On September 2, 2026, the second building of the Moscow Transport Unified Dispatch Center opened in Moscow. The new building expanded the city’s integrated transport management complex and became the dispatch center for surface and river transport.
The scale of the new facility reflects the scale of Moscow’s transport system. A unified dispatch network coordinates more than 900 surface transport routes, 6,500 buses and electric buses, thousands of metro trains, Moscow Central Circle and Moscow Central Diameters trains and trams, as well as more than 190 river vessels. The new building covers approximately 8,000 square meters and provides workspaces for more than 400 specialists.
As part of the project, Infomatika equipped the Unified Dispatch Center’s entrance with M2030 smart turnstiles. To support biometric identification, the turnstiles were customized to accommodate RusGuard R20-Face (8T) facial recognition terminals. The terminals are built directly into the turnstiles at the entry and exit of each lane and operate as part of the RusGuard access control system.
Particular attention was paid to safe passage. Each lane is monitored by 44 infrared sensors that track a person’s position as the gates move. The turnstiles support online and offline operation and an anti-panic function. Designed for intensive use, they have a mean of at least 20 million passages between failures. The equipment is also integrated with the building’s fire safety system.
M2030 smart turnstiles have already proven their reliability at major transport facilities in Moscow. They are part of the Moscow Metro’s large-scale turnstile modernization program and have been installed at five metro stations and Leningradsky Railway Station. The M2030’s modular design allows the turnstiles to be adapted to different operating needs, with the required components built directly into their structure.
