Infomatika implemented the LENTA SEACS electronic spectator access control system and completed a full scope of work involving the development, supply, and commissioning of more than 160 units of unique smart access control equipment.
King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, known as the “Pearl of Stadiums,” is Saudi Arabia’s foremost architectural and sporting landmark. Built in 1987, the arena, with its distinctive roof shaped like 24 Bedouin tents, is currently undergoing a major USD 1 billion redevelopment. In preparation for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and the FIFA World Cup 2034, the stadium will be transformed into a modern football arena, with its capacity increasing to 70,200 seats.

Infomatika served as the technology partner for the project to equip King Fahd International Stadium with SEACS LENTA, an intelligent spectator access control system and the international version of the LENTA automated management system. The system was developed by Infomatika specifically for use at major international arenas and was successfully deployed at a stadium hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
King Fahd International Stadium is one of the Middle East’s most iconic sports venues and a symbol of Saudi Arabia’s modern sports infrastructure. Known as the “Pearl of Stadiums,” the arena is located in Riyadh and has served for decades as a key venue for major international sporting and cultural events.
Over the years, the stadium has hosted matches of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the FIFA Confederations Cup, the Spanish Super Cup, as well as major world-class cultural events. Following a major redevelopment undertaken in preparation for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and the FIFA World Cup 2034, the stadium’s capacity will exceed 70,000 spectators, making it one of the world’s premier football venues.
As part of the stadium’s modernisation, particular attention was given to upgrading its engineering and digital infrastructure, including security and visitor flow management systems. The project required the implementation of a modern, high-tech access control system capable of ensuring reliable operation under extremely high loads and the region’s challenging climatic conditions.
SEACS LENTA Capabilities
centralised management of access lanes and high-speed visitor identification, with support for QR-code tickets, RFID cards, and digital identifiers;
integration with the venue’s ticketing, accreditation, and infrastructure systems;
centralised real-time monitoring of equipment status;
real-time management of access lanes and flexible configuration of access scenarios based on the organisers’ requirements and venue capacity utilisation.
The stadium’s access infrastructure is built around Vector Plus waist-high smart turnstiles (141 units) and Vector Gate smart gates (22 units), developed by Infomatika for venues with extremely high loads and intensive visitor flows.
The equipment is made of stainless steel and tempered glass and features motorised drives with an emergency anti-panic function.
The devices’ intelligent architecture ensures high-speed identifier processing and a throughput of up to 700 persons per hour.
Built-in smart controllers support both online and offline operation, ensuring stable equipment performance even during temporary network outages.
To provide comfortable access for visitors with reduced mobility, the Vector Gate smart gates feature wider passageways and built-in radar safety sensors.
- The installed equipment has a certified IP65 protection rating and is designed for reliable operation in the challenging climatic conditions of the Middle East.
As part of the project, Infomatika specialists carried out the equipment delivery, supervised installation, commissioning, and final handover for operation.
